<li>Your body temperature over 100°F.</li>
<li>The edges of the cut gape open.</li>
<li>The wound is jagged</li>
<li>feeling of numbness around the wound.</li>
<li>It affects your movement e.g. if cut on joint.</li>
<li>Inflammation in the form of red streaks around the wound.</li>
<li>It&#8217;s a deep cut and you haven&#8217;t had a tetanus shot in the past 5 years.</li>
<li>It&#8217;s a puncture wound</li>
<li>The wound bleeds in spurts</li>
<li>the bleeding doesn&#8217;t stop after 10 minutes of firm, direct pressure.</li>
</ul>
